Annotation

Notes, text and markup drawn on a sheet, grouped in named sets you can show or hide.

An annotation is a mark drawn on a sheet: a Note, Text, freehand Pen or Highlighter strokes, a Line, an Arrow, a Rectangle, Circle or other shape, a Free shape, a Cloud, or a keyed note with its notes table. The compass and scale bar are plan tools, not annotations.

Annotations draw on top of devices and wiring, on screen and in anything you issue or share, and a newer mark sits over an older one.

Every mark stays editable: click any mark you can see to select it, whichever session it belongs to, then move it, restyle it or drag its handles. Marks and devices select together.

Every annotation belongs to a session — one visit or one meeting, carrying its date and its author, listed under Annotations on the left edge. A session can be shown or hidden in each View, keeping installer notes off the client's pages. Editors save that visibility for screen and newly generated output; share links change only after publishing an update; Viewers change only their own temporary display.

Tasks: Add an annotation, cloud an area and add keyed notes.
