Session
One visit or meeting, and the annotations made on it across every sheet it touched.
A session is one visit or one meeting. It carries the date it was made and the name of whoever made it, and it holds the annotations from that visit across every sheet it touched — not just one.
Walking a house and marking three floors gives one session with three sheets under it, not three unrelated sets. Sessions are listed under Annotations on the left edge, newest first; one that marked several sheets opens to a row per sheet. The compass and scale bar sit apart, under Plan tools.
Each is handed a colour of its own — red, then blue, then green — so two visits do not look alike. The row’s chips show its colours.
The date is the date it was created, never typed and never changed. Put a different visit date in the name.
Hiding a session changes the active View. Editors save that choice; Viewers keep a temporary personal display. Saved View settings control newly generated output; share links change only after publishing an update. Its own eye covers every sheet, a sheet row's eye covers that sheet, and hiding some but not all reads Partly hidden. Deleting takes its marks from every sheet; one undo brings it back, and issued versions do not change.
Any visible mark can be selected without opening its session. Its padlock locks it for everyone.
Annotations made before sessions stand alone, with no date and no author, and cannot take in a second sheet.
Task: Add an annotation.
