How do I…

Save a view

Save which sheets, systems, annotations, work statuses, cable cards and coverage fields show, then switch between views.

Where to find it: Views (left edge, under Palette and Annotations)

  1. Choose Default View, or choose New view, type a name and confirm. New views include all current sheets and work statuses, with systems, annotations, cable cards, connection lines and coverage hidden.
  2. Select a view to open its sheets. Each sheet's eye controls inclusion in the editor, presentation and PDF. The view’s eye is open for all sheets, crossed for none, and dashed for some. Clicking the mixed eye hides the remaining sheets; clicking the crossed eye shows all. Hidden sheets in visible views stay dim and non-editable. Fully hidden views disappear from the canvas but stay in the list. These eyes also appear in Share › Pages. Selection never unhides views.
  3. Choose Work status and Cable cards, then choose what this view shows under Systems. Show all and Hide all affect systems and conduits, keeping each system's detail choices. LED wires follow Lighting, not Conduit. Inline icons control connection lines (also in Equipment), Camera field of view beside Cameras, and Wi-Fi coverage beside Network. Wi-Fi bands chooses individual bands. Hidden systems keep their detail choices, disabled. Without a sheet scale, coverage is approximate and follows icon size. Conduit reveals direct endpoint icons across hidden systems, respecting work-status and sheet filters. Other zone devices stay hidden.
  4. Under Annotations, use each eye to show or hide a named annotation in this view. Expand its sheet rows to control one floor at a time. Show all and Hide all here affect annotations only; compass and scale bar stay separate. The Annotations tab uses the same saved choices and remains where you create and edit marks. Equipment and Cabling controls also change the selected view.

Eye states also apply to annotation groups, Plan tools and Equipment: open means all visible, crossed means all hidden, and a dash means partly visible.

Owners and Editors save View settings automatically with the plan; normal Undo reverses those settings and View ordering. Page inclusion saves to the presentation draft, like Share's eyes. Viewers can inspect systems through temporary personal choices, but cannot change shared page inclusion. See roles and saving and sync.

Arrange Views

Drag a named view's grip up or down to move its canvas row. Focus the grip for arrow-key ordering. Default stays first. Ordering saves for everyone. Custom Share page ordering remains separate.

Rows share one drawing: moving or deleting content changes it everywhere. Visibility remains separate. Hiding, showing or deleting a view keeps your zoom and pan.

A named view's menu offers Rename, Duplicate and Delete. Delete view confirms deletion. Default cannot be renamed or deleted. Deleting a view leaves the drawing intact and removes its draft presentation pages.

Placing a hidden device adds nothing. Choose Show in this View (or Show To do when its work status is hidden), then place it. Opening an existing annotation also keeps its visibility unchanged; show it before drawing into a hidden session. A new annotation includes its own session in the current view.

Company default

Default's menu offers Restore company default, with confirmation and Undo. It restores this project's Default settings without changing named views or content.

Only the Owner sees Make company default. After confirmation, future projects start with those reusable visibility settings. Existing projects stay unchanged. Sheet and annotation identities are not copied.

Present and print

Owners and Editors can prepare, publish and manage presentations. Page selection is shared between Views and Share; already-published links change only through Publish link or Update. Frozen versions keep their saved content. See share a presentation, download a PDF, coverage fields and cable cards.
