How do I…
Find something in Equipment
Search the equipment list by name, code, group or Number, open or close its groups, and show a device on the drawing.
Where to find it: Equipment (right edge) › Search equipment
- Open Equipment on the right edge. The search stays at the top while the list scrolls, and an open group's line stays just under it.
- Type in Search equipment: a name (landscape), a code (MD, LS/70V), a group (Cameras), or a Number (SP-4, sp 4, 70v 2).
- Groups with a match open. A type found by one of its Numbers opens to show just those devices.
Clear search, or Esc, empties the field and puts the groups back as they were.
Show it on the drawing
Pointing at a line outlines what it stands for on the drawing. Click a device's line to select it; double-click it and the drawing centres on that device, zooming in if needed and turning to its sheet if it is on another, every time. In Access Control, a door's Show does the same for the door. A screen two surround systems share is listed under each, marked Shared with Surround 2 (or 1), and either line selects the same screen; it counts under the first, so the other's count stays empty. A device its group's eye hides cannot be shown unless a visible conduit ends at it.
Open and close groups
Each group is one line until you open it, and it stays as you left it on this device. In Surround Sound, Speakers, Lighting, Lighting control and Access Control, the dotted-line button beside the eye hides or shows that group's connection lines in the view you are in. Expand all and Collapse all, beside the search, open or close every group at once. A device chosen on the drawing opens its group and type while it is chosen.
When the project uses rooms in its schedules and lists, the icon beside the filter shows how the list is grouped: boxes for Grouped by system, a door for Grouped by room. Click it to switch. By room there is one group per room in name order (rooms that share a name floor by floor), No room last; the eyes and locks are in the list by system.
Filter by sheet, at the top right, narrows the list to one sheet; the funnel beside the search leaves statuses out (set work status).
What the counts mean is on the equipment list.
