How do I…
Turn a blueprint and the drawing on it
Rotate left or right turns a blueprint a quarter, and everything drawn on it turns with it.
Where to find it: Properties (nothing selected) › Sheet › Blueprints › the pencil beside the blueprint › Rotate left or Rotate right
Rotate left and Rotate right turn a blueprint a quarter, and the drawing on it turns with it in one step: devices, conduits, annotations, pointers and keyed-note numbers. Each icon turns to face the same way on the building, and words and labels stay upright. A soundbar stays snug in front of its TV.
The compass turns with the building where it stands, when this is the sheet's only blueprint. The scale bar and keyed-notes tables stay where they are.
The scale turns with the image, so real distances and cable lengths stay the same. One undo puts it all back.
Four turns bring everything back exactly where it started, even when the sheet's edge held the image in on the way round.
Nothing turns, and you are told why and what to do, if turning would carry part of the drawing, the compass or the scale's marks off the sheet, or make a TV or soundbar shorter or longer than it can be drawn. The message says what to do: move the blueprint, make it bigger or smaller, move the compass in from the edge, set the scale again, or turn it alone. While it turns, both buttons show a spinner.
Turn the image alone
With Move blueprint alone on, Rotate left and Rotate right turn the image only, as they used to. See move a blueprint and the drawing on it.
