How do I…
Download the cable CSV
The cable schedule's rows as a spreadsheet, with every Cable ID for a label maker.
Where to find it: Share (header) › the arrow beside PDF › CSV › Download cable CSV
- Choose Share in the header.
- At the bottom right, open the arrow beside PDF and choose CSV.
- Choose the sheets, then Download cable CSV. It shows once the project has a rack or panel.
The file has one row per cable of the icons on the chosen sheets, as the cable schedule lists them. Each row has its Cable ID, icon, floor, building, cable type, length and whether it is estimated or measured. It also has the rack or panel, destination, group, every member of that group, notes and warnings. A note typed over lines stays in its one cell, " / " between its lines. Once the project's numbers are locked, removed Cable IDs are listed in brackets. A wireless shade's battery or outlet is a row of its own with no Cable ID, type or length, after the rows of its rack or panel in its building, as the schedule's note line.
When the schedule shows rooms, the file has a Room column after the icon's name, empty for a cable whose icon is in no room. With the schedule listed by room, the rows come in the same order: room by room, those in no room last. See export the cable schedule.
Use the Cable IDs to print cable labels. A cell that starts with =, +, − or @ is written so a spreadsheet does not run it as a formula.
Downloading saves a version when the drawing changed since the last one, as the equipment CSV does. No PDF is made for it, so a large project's CSV does not wait for one. See download the equipment list.
