How do I…
Set the standard, US or European
One switch for the whole workspace. US works in feet and inches with US cables, European in metres and millimetres with European cables.
Where to find it: account menu (top right) › Settings › Workspace › Standard
- Open Settings › Workspace.
- Choose Standard: US (feet, inches) or European (metres, millimetres).
- A box says what changes. Choose Switch to European (or Switch to US) and it is saved at once.
Every member sees the same standard; only an Owner can change it. A new workspace starts European when the person who creates it has Polish set as their browser language, and US otherwise.
The standard decides:
- The units everyone sees. A new sheet starts on A3 in a European workspace and Tabloid in a US one (change the paper size), and Set scale starts on the matching unit.
- The cable types every list offers, the Palette and the Home Library included: only the standard's own, and those both use, such as Cat6 and fiber. Your company's own types show under either.
- Your company's cabling defaults and the ones new projects take. Each standard keeps its own table, so switching back brings yours back.
- Floor names, and what a speaker's line switch reads: 70V in the US, 100V in Europe.
Switching never rewrites what is drawn: cables keep their types. A project that took its defaults under the other standard says so in its cabling settings, with a button to take this standard's.
Calibration itself, and the printed Scale 1 : N ratio, are unaffected — a ratio has no unit.
