How do I…

Give an icon its room

See which room an icon is in, pick another, or add a room that is not drawn yet.

Where to find it: select an icon › Properties › Placement › Room

Once a blueprint's rooms are in use (see edit rooms and walls), every icon on it knows its room. Room shows Auto · and the room found: the one under the icon's centre, or, for an icon on a wall, the room holding most of it.

Pick another room

Open Room and choose a room. A hand before its name means it was set by hand, and the choice holds wherever the icon is, which suits a keypad by a door or a camera on an outside wall. The round arrow beside it, or Auto in the list, goes back to the room found.

A room that is not drawn

Choose New room… and type its name. The room is added to the blueprint's rooms without a shape and picked for the icon. In Prepare it shows as not drawn; select it and press Draw it to give it its shape. Its name and the icons in it stay.

An icon off the blueprints, or on two overlapping ones, has no room. To see the rooms on the plan, show rooms and walls.
