Version

A numbered snapshot of the plan, such as v3.10, that never changes and can be restored.

A version is a saved snapshot of the plan with a number such as v3.10. It never changes afterwards, so a printed sheet can always be reproduced. Your work is saved continuously anyway; a version is a point you keep on purpose.

A revision counts up (v3.9, v3.10); a major version starts a new milestone (v4.0). Versions are created when you save one, download a PDF or publish or update the share link after changes, and when you close numbering gaps or lock or unlock numbers. Restoring saves the current drawing as a version first and then the restored state as another, so nothing is lost.

Each version keeps the client, address, company details, library and numbers it had. Once the project has a rack or panel it also keeps its Cable IDs, cable group names and surround system numbers, where each cable card stood, and the cable schedule with every cable type it uses. So a reprint never changes.

Tasks: Save a version or restore one and download a PDF.
