How do I…

Choose or change your plan

Pick Free, Solo or Team for a workspace, switch between them, cancel, and update your card, all from Settings › Billing.

Where to find it: account menu › Settings › Billing

Each workspace has its own plan. What each one includes is in plans.

During the beta, paid plans are not on sale: every workspace has Team free through January 31, 2027, and Billing says paid plans aren't open yet. Choosing a plan opens when prices start, and every Owner gets an email at least 30 days before. An existing subscription can still be changed or cancelled now, as below.

Choose a plan

  1. Open Settings and choose Billing. Only an Owner can change the plan; everyone else sees it.
  2. Under Plans, choose Choose Solo or Choose Team. Stripe's payment page opens.
  3. Pay there. You come back to Billing and the new plan is already in place. During a trial or a free period, the larger plan shows until that period ends, and then your subscription is what the workspace has.

Whenever you reach a limit, such as a second project of your own on Free or inviting someone, the message has See plans, which opens the same choice.

Switch, cancel or update your card

With a subscription, choose Manage billing beside the price, or Switch to Team (or Switch to Solo) under Plans. Stripe's page opens, where you can:

  • switch between Solo and Team. The change is immediate and the difference is prorated.
  • cancel. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, and you can undo the cancellation until then.
  • update your card, and download invoices.

Stripe emails your receipts and invoices. Stripe is the seller of record, so it also handles sales tax and payment questions.

If a payment fails

Billing shows that the last payment didn't go through. Stripe tries again over about two weeks and emails a link to update the card, and your plan keeps working meanwhile. If the payment never goes through, the workspace moves to Free; see plans for what that changes. A first payment that never succeeds does not start the plan.
