Conduit
A pipe for cables drawn on a sheet, from a device or a stub to another device or a stub.
A conduit carries cables on a sheet between two ends: devices, or stubs where the pipe stops. It has a trade size and type, Not set until chosen. CD-1, CD-2 number conduits across the project in drawing order; removing one closes the numbers up.
Shared stretches draw side by side, bends round together, and crossings hop. Labels sit beside a line, on a leader or in a bundle’s table, all at the sheet’s Label size and Highlight labels.
A conduit is separate from a connection, which joins devices into a zone. Moving an end device keeps every stretch at its angle; removing one leaves a stub there; hiding an endpoint’s system does not hide the conduit or its directly attached endpoint icons. Other zone devices stay hidden; physical gang boxes stay whole. Work-status and sheet filters still apply. Endpoint cable cards follow the cards switch, and their cables appear in an included Cable schedule.
Equipment lists them under Conduit. The presentation legend shows one conduit symbol under Infrastructure with combined quantity. Its optional Conduit schedule gives size/type totals and lists each once across included Views, grouped by sheet. Plan length excludes rises, drops and slack; unknown lengths say Unknown, and totals distinguish measured length from unknown lengths. Drawn bends over 360° are red and named; on-site turns also count between pull points. No warning does not establish code compliance. Issued versions preserve their captured values.
