Fix a page that will not print

What to do when Share or a PDF says a mark or device reaches past the edge, or the drawings are too large.

Where to find it: open the project › Share (header) › the status line at the top right

Every page is checked the way it will print before a link, a PDF or a preview is made. When one cannot print, the status line at the top right of Share says so: open it to read why.

A mark or device past the edge

Marks you draw or drag against the edge stay wholly on the paper: a mark moves in by as much as it would hang over. A mark drawn before that still prints, moved in the same way; your drawing keeps it where it is.

Only a mark wider or taller than the printable area cannot be moved onto the paper. A message such as "Marks reach past the edge of the printable area on Level 1 (a pen stroke in Site walk)" names each sheet, and the session each mark is in. Open that sheet, make the mark smaller or delete it, then choose Try again. A device past the edge is moved inward the same way.

One link or PDF holds at most 192 MiB of blueprint pictures, and one page at most 128 MiB. A floor shown on several pages counts once. When the chosen pages need more, the message names a page to leave out: use its eye under Pages, or replace a blueprint with a smaller image. See share a presentation.

Numbering never stops a print

Share, a PDF and a CSV never ask how to number removed devices. While the project's numbers are unlocked they close up; once locked they stay, with removed numbers in brackets. To tidy locked numbers, see close numbering gaps.
