Place a tabletop touchscreen
Place a touchscreen that stands on a table or desk, or switch a placed touchscreen between wall and tabletop.
Where to find it: Palette › Equipment › Control & Voice › Tabletop touchscreen; for one already placed, select it › Properties › Variant
A touchscreen has two variants, like a camera's turret and dome. Wall is the short teal bar on the wall; Tabletop is the same bar with a small stand behind it, for one standing on a table, desk or nightstand. Both are numbered together: TS-1, TS-2 and so on.
- Place it from Tabletop touchscreen in the palette, on the table it stands on.
- Turn it so the screen faces where people sit; the stand stays behind it. Drag an end to make it wider or narrower, as for a wall touchscreen.
- To switch one already placed, choose Wall or Tabletop in Variant. Its number stays the same.
A tabletop touchscreen is on Wi-Fi, so it starts with no cable; a wall one starts with one Cat6. To change that, use the touchscreen's Wireless row in cabling defaults.
The legend gives each its own row, since they are drawn differently. A touchscreen placed before this existed reads as Wall.
